Doggy Bag!
After a limited amount of sleep we decided to have a day off to recover and refuel. The weather was very cold and showery today. Had to wear 4 layers of clothing for the first time since leaving home! Spent the day washing clothes, drinking coffee, eating cake, buying inner tubes, repairing the bikes and eating more cake. Moved the tent and waited for the evening surge to arrive. Most seemed to carry rucksacks on both their back and front with various blankets, sleeping mats and mate cups dangling from straps. After an hour putting their new tents up they would fan out with various inadequate cutting implements to collect wood, branches, twigs, twiglets and leaf stems from both the ground and the trees and bushes which had still managed to survive the seasonal onslaught! This time sleep arrived before the affects of the mate.
